Mosquitoes are one of the most common insects humans come in contact with, and while they can carry a variety of diseases, they aren’t as big of a health risk in the temperate northeast as they are in warmer and wetter climates. Recent reports by the CDC have indicated a rise in tick-borne diseases and unfortunately because mosquitoes are able to feed on ticks, these diseases have begun to spread more rapidly, especially as the global climate continues to heat up.
